MEDENT Employee Participates in Lowes' 24-Hour Bed Build

MEDENT employee Drew Scharoun participated in Lowes’ 24-Hour Bed Build with Sleep In Heavenly Peace.

Drew Scharoun, a MEDENT employee who works in the Lab Support services team, recently had an opportunity to give back to a larger community.

As the founder of the NY-Auburn chapter of Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP), Drew participated in Lowes’ 24-Hour Bunk Bed Build in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 6, 2025. Nearly 5,500 volunteers helped built 5,000 beds, which will be distributed to SHP chapters across the country.

Drew started a chapter of SHP in January 2020 in Auburn, New York. Since then, the NY-Auburn chapter has provided over 1,100 free twin-sized beds to kids in the community.
