What You Can Expect

The CommonWell Health Alliance is accessed via medent’s Community Chart. 

  • Cross-Community Patient Discovery: Supports the ability to locate communities which hold patient relevant health data to find a patient match
  • Cross-Community Access: Supports the ability to query and retrieve patient relevant medical data held by other communities
  • Discrete data elements within structured documents can be imported directly into the patient's chart

How CommonWell Works

medent practices will have access to additional CommonWell data sources via the Community Chart
and will also be able to interact with the Carequality network for Treatment purposes.

Master Person Index

The Master Person Index (MPI) collects patient demographics data to create patient indexes so that clinical records can be easier to find.

Record Locator Service

The Record Locator Service (RLS) allows users to quickly and accurately access the correct information whenever it is needed.

Data Broker

The data query and retrieval broker, or Data Broker, enables caregivers to search, select and receive needed data across a trusted network.

Trust Network

CommonWell does not store clinical data and only exchanges data securely and safely.
